U.S. BUILDER SUPPLY - SHIPPING GUIDELINES
THIS IS A PRINTER-FRIENDLY DOCUMENT |
| Shipping Is Very Complex |
Your order may ship from any of 31 locations and may ship from mulitple locations.
Each warehouse specializes in one group of products.
Some warehouses prefer using UPS, other FedEx.
We factor in all the variables of your order to determine the most efficient shipping scenario.
All orders are coordinated through our main office in Austin, TX.
|
| Residential Shipments |
UPS charges an additional $5.00 over and above regular rates to ship to your house.
We will add this charge to your invoice. Use a commercial address whenever possible.
|
| Alaska, Hawaii, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico |
You must use Next
Day Air or 2nd Day air for your shipping method.
|
| Military Bases |
We support our armed services in every way.
We don't normally ship products via U.S. Mail, but we'll make a special trip to the Post Office just for you and be glad to do so.
|
| Canadian Shipments |
Our shopping cart allows you to specify your province,
but shipping rates are automatically calculated like a U.S. shipment (meaning too low).
We now ship all Canadian packages via FedEx since they are efficient carriers for these shipments. If you have a FedEx account,
the shipment can be billed directly to you. If you do not, we will ship by FedEx and bill you exactly what the shipping charges turn out to be.
We do not mark up shipping charges.
Our warehouse shippers are familiar with the NAFTA and Customs paperwork requirements.
|
| Shipping Prices |
Unlike other suppliers, we do not mark up shipping charges.
Our shopping cart software cannot process all logistical factors pertaining to a typical shipment. Therefore,
the pricing grid used by the software is designed to break even on these charges. Some are a little high, some a little low.
Ideally, we break even on shipping in the long run.
