Shipping Is Tricky
Between the warehouses and factory locations, 31 separate shipping points are involved.
Each location uses their own primary shipper, either UPS or FedEx.
If you have a preferred carrier let us know. We'll try to accomodate you.
Just understand that only one carrier makes schedule pickups and the other
will need to be called to make a special pickup.
Residential Shipments
UPS charges an additional $5.00 over and above regular rates to ship to your house.
We will add this charge to your invoice. Use a commercial address whenever possible.
Alaska, Hawaii, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico
You must use Next Day Air or 2nd Day air for your shipping method.
Military Bases
We support our armed services in every way. We don't normally
ship products via U.S. Mail, but we'll make a special trip to the
Post Office just for you and be happy to do so.
Canadian Shipments
At one time Canadian shipments were easy. Since 9-11 that all changed.
NAFTA and additional paperwork is required at customs and some of our
warehouses do a fine job with the paperwork. Others do not.
The paperwork is not the problem, getting it attached to the proper box can
sometimes seems next to impossible. When this happens, we will forward the
paperwork on to your Agent at the boarder to expedite a delayed shipment.
Shippping Prices
Unlike our competitors, we do not mark up shipping costs.
We intend to break even on shipping in the long run. Sometimes our prices
might seem a little high, other times low. Online orders are particularly tricky
since the software is configured to use "standard shipping practices".
Let us know if a shipping cost seem unreasonable as we're happy to credit you
when the software gets off track.
Speed
Our system is built for speed.
An order for a stock item will be in the shipping department typcially
within an hour or so of placing the order.
If you've ordered an item in error let us know right away.
UPS and FedEx pickup 3 or 4 times each day and orders are out the door within a few
hours of placing the order.
