Von Duprin Electrical Products

Two models are available: PS861 and PS873.

PS861 is a standard power supply used with an electric strike or electromagnetic lock (mag lock). It's output is rated at 1 amp when set to 24 vDC, or 2 amps when set to 12 vDC.

PS873 is a unique power supply specifically desiged for Von Duprin EL exit devices. EL = Electric Latch Retraction. (example: EL99EO)

EPT Power Transfers serve the same function as an electric hinge or a door loop. All three transfer power from the door frame to the door. EPT's are different in that they mortise into both the door and frame for concealed, secure protection for the wires.

When a Von Duprin EL device is being powered, model EPT-2 is ordered as it includes 2 wires of 18 gauge. Also available is the EPT-10 which includes 10 wires of 24 gauge.

Von Duprin offers an electric strike for almost every application. Electric strikes connect to a Power Supply which contols the opening and closing of the strike ''jaw''. When the jaw is open the door can swing freely. When the jaw is closed, it secures the latch of the locking device (standard lock, exit device, etc.).

Different models are designed to accept the different latch styles offered with locking hardware. For example, the latch on a standard commercial lock is much different than that of an exit device and each model accepts only one style latch.

Designated by the abbreviation ALK , Alarm Kits sound a horn when the bar of an exit device is pressed. Powered by a standard 9v battery, Alarm Kits offer a means of announcing when a door is being used.

Typically located on a back door of a restaurant or shop, Alarm Kits prevent unauthorized use of the door. The internal horn is very loud (85 decibel) and alerts everyone in the building when the door is being exited. The horn may be disabled by use of key as Alarm Kits contain a keyed cylinder which acts as an ''on/off'' switch. It is common to disable the alarm when deliveries are being made, for example.

Model CM993 works with Von Duprin exit devices and serves to control access from the outside of the door. This battery-powered lock is programmed using software which is downloaded to the lock via a special cable.

User codes are programmed using the software so only authorized users are allowed access. The user codes can be those used with a keypad, iButton or magnetic card. CM993 input types are selected when the lock is ordered. A combination of keypad and card swipe is one combination of input types, but many other combinations are available too.

Monitor Strikes are similar to Electric Strikes in that they accept a latch from a lock. With Monitor Strikes, the purpose is not to lock or unlock the door but to keep an eye on the door status instead.

Monitor Strikes are wired to a remote monitoring station that signals door status. When the door is locked and the latch is engaged, a signal is sent to the remote station. This causes a colored light (red) to glow on a panel located at the remote station. When the door is being used and the latch is no longer engaged in the strike no signal is sent. A different colored light (green) glows at the remote panel.
