RIXSON PIVOTS - Examples

Subject 3/4'' Offset
 Center Hung
Pivot Types Rixson Offset Pivot

The pivot point (spindle) is offset 3/4'' from the face of the door.

Handed 		Rixson Center Hung Pivot

The pivot point (spindle) is centered in the thickness of the door.

Non-handed
Door Swings Door swings one direction only

Offset pivots are always single acting 		Door swings both directions

Center hung pivots are double acting, unless the door frame prohibits swinging in both directions.



Intermediate Pivots
Intermediate pivots are only available for offset hung pivots, or offset hung door closers.

These pivots are not designed to bear any door weight. They are designed to keep doors from warping and coming out of alignment.

Intermediate pivots are recommended for most all applications of offset hung doors.
