Consider Norton's 7500 closer for heavy duty applications.
High traffic areas and doors subject to abuse are prime candidates for this model.
The makes the 7500 more of a specialized closer than one you would choose for standard doors.
The 7500 Series and 7700 Series are identical, except for the spring type inside the closer body.
7500 closers contain an adjustable spring the spans all the common door sizes. One closer fits all.
The 7700 Series requires you to specify the exact spring size you want. A 7703, for example,
uses a Size 3 spring. Although this spring is adjustable as well, you're better off in most cases
using the 7500 series as it is more flexible in the field.
Specialized closers typically use specialized arms and the Norton 7500 is no exception.
The standard arm, called the Regular Arm, is used when mounting the closer on the Pull side of the door.
You can also flip the closer over and mount the body to the frame instead of the door.
This is called Top Jamb mount. The Regular Arm works with either mounting style.

When you need to use the Parallel Arm mounting style on the Push side of the door, you need to specify this type of arm.
It is designated by placing a ''P'' in front of the model, P7500.
But since this is a heavy-duty closer, it is better to specify the heaviest duty arms as well.
The Parallel Arm is available in a rigid, heavy-duty version specified by PR7500.
Because the arm is rigid (heavy-duty) this automatically make the arm handed.
When ordering the PR arm you must specify handing.
