Locknetics Power Bolts

Locknetics models 442S and 406S are available Fail Secure function only. This means the bolt is projected when you take it out of the box. It requires power to retract the bolt.

Locknetics Model 405 is available both Fail Safe (405) and Fail Secure (405S). Fail Safe means the bolt is retracted when the unit is at rest. It requires power to project the bolt.

Use model 442S for small applications like cabinet doors. Models 405 and 406 are for standard sized doors.

Model 406S has an additional feature that uses a standard mortise cylinder (sold separately) as an on/off switch. If you need to disable the electrical function of the bolt, use the key in the cylinder to turn the unit off.

A common installation using the 406S would be to install the unit into an exterior door. It can be installed horizontally or vertically. A remote switch is used to control the bolt retraction. Both hardware items are connected through a power supply unit.

To disable the remote switch, use the keyed mortise cylinder. It will keep the bolt projected until the key is used again. When turned back to the ''on'' position, the remote switch can again be used to retract the bolt. The cylinder functions acts an on/off switch and the bolt can only be retracted when in the ''on'' position.
