Fire Extinguisher Cabinets

larsens fire extinguisher cabinetsLarsens cabinets are designed to be adapted to various wall applications.  They can be ordered surface mount, semi-recessed or fully recessed.

Most models use the same inside cabinet with different door styles added to the cabinet.  Semi-recessed and fully recessed model also have a trim package that is added to the cabinet.

The Architectural Series is the most popular and comes with a white, baked enamel finish that can be painted in the field.  You can order aluminum or stainless steel doors instead of the white, but the inside cabinet is always white.

NOTE: We recommend either the standard white or stainless.  Stay away from the aluminum.  The metal is so thin that it is often damaged in shipping.  Even if it arrives in good condition, the finished product will not hold up well once installed.

The inside cabinet stays the same, regardless of the model you order.

Different door styles can be added to the cabinet (full glass, partial glass, etc.)

Mounting trim can also be added, which changes the capacity of the cabinet (5 lb or 10 lb extinguisher).

The basic cabinet model is 2409.  A surface mounted version has the suffix of "SM", making it model 2409-SM.

Recessed versions have the suffix of R1 through R6, depending upon wall depth.  Know your wall depth before ordering a recessed model.

  • Door Style (full glass, no glass, etc.)
  • Lettering Style (no letters, horizontal, etc.)

Think of doors as ''bolt-on'' options for the cabinet. If you have a damaged door, you can always buy another and bolt it on.
