| Replacing a Closer? |
| Don't look at the closer body looking for clues. Markings such as symbols and numbers do not relate to the model number. |
Do use the bolt hole spacing to determine model number. |

| LCN Closer Types |
Surface Mount: The most common closer. The closer body bolts to either the door or the door frame.
LCN Models: 1371, 1461, 4011, 4041, 4111 |
Concealed: This closer mounts above the door, in the frame header. (You will see a plate in the top of the door frame.)
LCN Models: 2011, 2031, 3031 |
Sentronic: This closer holds the door open on fire-rated doors. It is wired to the fire alarm system. Should the alarm sound, an electric signal is sent to the closer which causes the closer to release the door and allow it to close. ![]() Models: 2310ME, 4310ME, 4040SE, 4410ME |
Door Operator: Also called an automatic door opener, this device will open the door upon request and then close the door after holding it open for a pre-set amount of time. Typically, a wall switch is pressed to begin the opening cycle. ![]() Models: 2610, 2810, 4640, 4810, 4820, 4840 |
