LCN's 1371 is probably the most user-friendly closer on the market. In fact, we can't think of another model easier to use.
First, there is no cover to be damaged or to loose. Some people don't care about covers but for most people appearance is a factor.
Secondly, the 1371 comes with an adhesive template that you can stick in place during installation.
This makes life much easier when drilling mounting holes. It also allows for quick positioning of the template when determining proper mounting location.
It's much easier to hold a template than a 13 pound door closer.
Lastly, the closer can mount nearly anywhere. It's narrow body style has bolt holes positioned 3/4'' from center to center.
This allows for mounting in even the most narrow applications.
Aluminum storefront applications, for example, typically have a 1-3/4'' or 2'' top rail on the door and on the frame.
The narrow style body and bolt hole pattern make the 1371 a natural choice for these applications.
When ordering LCN's 1371, make sure the model you get is indicated by ''P1371''.
The ''P'' at the front of the model number indicates the Parallel Arm Bracket (PA Bracket) is included in the box.
This is very important because you will need the bracket if you are mounting Parallel Arm style.
The bracket is not used for Regular Arm or Top Jamb mounting styles.
