The CDX-09 is also available for swinging doors. Both models are designed for government applications and often ordered using special codes called National Stock Numbers (NSN).
The X-09 High Security Lock has gone through several generations to comply with changing standards for electromechanical locks. The X-09 was developed in conjunction with the US Government and meets FF-L-2740-A, the US Government's highest security standard for container locks and doors

Vault Doors. The X-09 is self-powered using PowerStar™ technology. A
twist of the dial provides all the power necessary to enter the
combination, as well as review audit features. The X-09 provides all
the benefits of high-security electronic locking while maintaining
the reliability of a mechanical lock, independent of batteries or
outside power sources.
The CDX-09 is for swinging doors. It comes in 2 versions, standard plate and drill-resistant plate. Each version has it's own model number, though you can order the drill-resistant plate separately as a part if needed. There are different strike options available with the CDX-09. One for metal frames and one for wood frames. Each is available in an inswing version and an outswing version, making 4 total strikes available. Note that strike #03 is by far the most common as it is used on inswing doors with metal frames.
