Overview

Dorma pivots are their LM Series. Don't worry about the LM part, you need to pay attention to ''CP'' and ''OP'' in the model numbers.

• OP = Offset Pivot
• CP = Center Pivot

Pivots are sold as a set.  This includes both a top and bottom pivot.

This image shows model CP440.  The top pivot is at the top of the image and the bottom pivot consists of two parts.  The long part is the arm that mounts to the bottom of the door.  The short part is the spindle.

Dorma spindles are unique in that they can be swapped out for other spindles of different heights.  The standard spindle is called a 3/4'' spindle to fit the 3/4'' undercut of a standard commercial door.  Should you find yourself with a different undercut you can order a different spindle height and swap it out in the field.  Better yet, you can order the correct height spindle when you order the pivot set.  We'll swap out the standard spindle before we ship the set to you.

Quick Tips

Doors over 7' normally with use an extra pivot in the middle called an ''intermediate pivot''. While these pivots bear no weight, they keep the door aligned in plumb.
