This system uses 3 components:

  • Electric Strike (A)
  • Transformer (B)
  • Desk Button (C)

Pressing the button activates the electric strike, unlocking the door.  Notice how the wiring makes a complete "loop" through all the components.

Standard Configuration

Uses a standard electric strike, which requires some frame modification.

The frame must be "notched in the field to accept the electric strike.  This work should only be done by professional installers that have the tools and parts for the job.

In other words, don't try this at home.

Better Configuration

Replaces the standard electric strike with one that is easier to install.

These special strikes require no frame modification and greatly reduce installation time and cost.
